Iowa Dance Theatre is a not-for-profit organization based in Des Moines, Iowa. Established in 1982 by Mary Joyce Lind to raise awareness, develop appreciation, increase opportunities and support dance as a performing art within our community, we are a unique blend of dancers, teachers, choreographers and art enthusiasts who combine our talent to produce high-quality, artistic, dance productions. Dancers from over 30 dance studios participated in IDT’s 2008-2009 Season. Volunteers, community support, and wild applause are always needed and appreciated! Iowa Dance Theatre is now on Facebook! Our goal for IDT's Facebook page is to become more visible to the public so that people might know what IDT is about and to share with them the wonderful opportunities that IDT provides for the people of Central Iowa to see locally-produced performing arts.
