Iowa Dance
Theatre (IDT) is a non-profit organization based in Des Moines, IA. It was established in 1983 to bring
performance and education opportunities to Iowa's youth and professional dancers, and has
produced many successful professional dancers. IDT is a community-based,
volunteer group of people dedicated to dance in Iowa. We are a unique blend of dancers,
teachers, choreographers and art enthusiasts who combine our talents to produce
high-quality, artistic dance productions.
IDT is committed to bringing the
talents of dancers in Iowa to the attention of the general public.
Our innovative approach enables us to focus on individuals with multiple and
varied talents in a theatrical setting.
IDT is committed to excellence in
production and presentation. Our main goal is to produce high-quality
performances, both artistically and technically. We give talented people in the
area opportunities to expand and perfect their abilities in performing and
mastering stage technique.
IDT is committed to developing
workshops and conferences throughout the year for all interested dancers in the
state. We bring professional artists to Iowa to perform, instruct and
choreograph.
IDT is
committed to financial responsibility. Years of experience help
